We are so excited to add these beautiful handmade wooden insects to our range.
Dragonflies were some of the first winged insects to evolve around 300 million years ago. Modern dragonflies have wingspans of only two to five inches, but fossil dragonflies have been found with wingspans of up to two feet! That's about the same length as a 1 month old baby!
Dragonflies are expert fliers - they can fly straight up and down, hover and they even mate and eat in mid air.
All of the insects in this collection feature incredible detail and are such a lovely hands on way for children to learn about different types of animals and the important roles they play in our ecosystem.
Wooden animal figures have long been used as a hands on educational tool to help children learn about different animals and the world around them while also having lots of fun engaging in imaginative play.
Our wooden insects are perfect for small world and educational play while also being a beautiful piece to display.
