Commonly referred to as a Moustache beetle, the Longhorn Beetle is a family of beetles that contains over 35,000 species. They are common across most parts of Europe and are found in forest areas. The larvae feed on tree trunks, stems and roots, often in injured or weak trees. They bore into the wood and can cause extensive damage to living trees or untreated lumber.
