Description
We are so excited to add these beautiful handmade wooden insects to our range.
Stag Beetles are Britains largest native ground-dwelling beetle. Male Stag Beetles have large jaws that look a bit like the antlers of a deer, hence the name. Females have smaller mouths but their jaws are actually much stronger.
Male Stag Beetles use their 'antlers' for wrestling other males during the mating season. The goal is to grab the other beetle and throw it to the ground.
All of the insects in this collection feature incredible detail and are such a lovely hands on way for children to learn about different types of animals and the important roles they play in our ecosystem.
Wooden animal figures have long been used as a hands on educational tool to help children learn about different animals and the world around them while also having lots of fun engaging in imaginative play.
Our wooden insects are perfect for small world and educational play while also being a beautiful piece to display.
