Each figure has been carved in wood, then carefully sanded by hand, so there are no sharp edges. They are then coated in a top layer of olive oil and beeswax and each one is patiently and carefully painted by hand.

'Well, the answer is quite simple, but if it’s the first time we meet, hi there, this is Luci and Oana – we are the founders of Noelino Toys and we love children, wood, a healthy walk in the woods with our three dogs and a good, strong cup of coffee – in this order. When we were little, we grew up surrounded by wood, we constantly went on trips to our nearside forest, where our grandparents lived. We knew, as we grew older, that this was something that we want to carry on doing.'
The Noelino wooden dolls are a result of years of studying arts, wood-crafting, and 3D modelling. All of Noelino’s wooden toys are made of natural materials, inspired by Montessori and Waldorf’s self-paced and experimental approach to learning. They encourage unstructured play not only for your child’s physical health but also for their mental development, and their toys will support both.
