Toys for Confidence | Educational Play
What is the definition of a toy?
The dictionary definition of the word toy is: an object, often a small representation of something familiar, as an animal or person, for children or others to play with; plaything.

Thankfully they so much more than just that! As I’ve said many times, we have worked really hard to find toys that are fun, durable, safe and in particular, educational. As a parent, I want my son to benefit and absorb as much as possible from his playtime so it’s vital I give him the right equipment for the job!

An important part of any child’s growth and development is confidence. Particularly in this day and age where bullying is rife from such a young age, it’s crucial we teach our children self confidence and self love from the get go - I really do believe that it’s never too early to start.

When it comes to toys, this aspect of educational play can often be overlooked so it may be difficult to know what toys will provide your child with the tools to help them explore things such as role play and interactive games such as storytelling that are perfect for improving social skills and in turn helping to develop and grow their confidence.

Our magnetic play theatre’s are the perfect tool for developing these skills and we were recently lucky enough to have our Little Red Riding Hood magnetic theatre reviewed as part of Kids Gifts & Toys ‘Toy of the Month’ blog.

It’s writer and creator Lizzie, dives right in on to how to put it together, what her children thought and how they played with it and even a little about the history of the Little Red Riding Hood fairytale! It’s a great read and features some stunning pictures of our theatre so you can really get caught up in the story and the charm of this popular and famous children’s tale. Thank you again for reading and supporting us.
